Grandmother's Birthday Cake

I wanted to make a beautiful cake for my grandmother's 89th birthday!  I thought ribbons and buttons were appropriate.  This is a vanilla cake with strawberry filling and lemon buttercream. 

Dora Cake

For a 2 year old birthday girl!  This is vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling and vanilla buttercream. 

Minnie Mouse Cake

For a 4y old birthday girl.  This is chocolate cake with strawberry filling and vanilla buttercream. 

Disney Princess Castle Cake!

This cake was so fun to make but a ton of work!  I basically worked on it every second that my husband was home to entertain our toddler.  It was nice working on a girly cake!  The 4 y old birthday girl wanted a Disney Princess Cake with a castle, Cinderella, Belle and the Beast.  The figures I made out of rice cereal decorated with fondant.  The cakes are vanilla and vanilla buttercream/filling.  I tried to texture the buttercream then decorated in fondant.  The towers are paper towel rolls covered in fondant and the tops are ice cream cones. 

Tyson's Handy Manny 2nd Birthday Cake!

 Handy Manny inspired cake.  All week while I was making the tools Tyson would come over and say "Mommy's Tools"   He was so excited for his cake which made it extra special.  This is a chocolate sour cream cake with peanut butter cream cheese filling and covered in caramel buttercream. My first time making caramel.  I made all the tools out of fondant and used Tyson's tools as models.  I made Manny out of chocolate, using a coloring page as a template.

Cookie Monster Birthday Cake!

This is for my nephew Caden who turned 1y and my nephew Jivan who turned 2y!  I love making special cakes for my loved ones :)   Cookie Monster and his cookies are out of fondant.  Cake is Vanilla with Fudge and Raspberry layers.  Happy Birthday Boys!

Turtle Cake

This is  Caden's cake for his 1st Birthday!  This cake is inspired by a picture my sister found on the internet.  The sheet cake and turtle are vanilla cake with layers of raspberry and fudge filling iced in chocolate buttercream.  Everything is covered in marshmallow fondant.  I carved the shell out of round cakes and the hands/feet are carved cup cakes.  His head is carved out of a small bunt cake and his hat is an ice cream cone.
